Monitoring combustion oscillations in modern gas turbine combustors is a great challenge for the measurement chain: temperatures around 1500 °C and pressures of approx. 20 bar require the use of special components and concepts. High Temperature Pressure Measurement
There are two main approaches for measuring dynamic alternating pressures in combustion chambers: The use of so-called infinity tubes and the use of special high temperature sensors. For a better assessment of both concepts, we have prepared a comparison for you.
The new IfTA GIA-IEPE is an isolation amplifier with adjustable IEPE feed, galvanic isolation and error message. For daily use, this means high transmission quality of the signal even over long distances, safety thanks to galvanic isolation, and time savings thanks to a lean measurement chain that is less susceptible to errors.
The IfTA ChargeAmplifier is an Ex nA (ATEX Zone 2) certified, differential in-line charge amplifier specifically designed to meet the requirements of high temperature sensors. In combination with the new IfTA GIA-IEPE, it is easy to build a flexible and low-noise measurement chain.
